Graph the online visitors

Hi, I use another analytics tool that basically only concerns about the total online users at a given moment (won't mention its name here in case it's not allowed). So my suggestion is to have another graph, just like the Visitors/Actions, but for online users. I can understand if that is not on your radar, so I might implement a local version using the API. Just to be clear, the API with throttling permits that I run only one request per site_id per IP, so I can do one query for all my websites simultaneously, wait 5 minutes, and query all again, correct? Thanks!

Downtime Alert - Double check before notifying

I have the 5 minute interval downtime checking plan and I constantly get false notifications many times a day. They always end up saying its back up at the next check in 5 minutes and sometimes I'm literally double checking the email alert within seconds of receiving the email and the site is running fine. I setup a second downtime check on one of my domains and it never has these false downtime alerts but did catch a one time host downtime recently just as clicky did. My feature suggestion is a double check or ability to set the number of downtime checks before it sends notification. For me on a 5 minute interval plan, if it came back as down, can it double check 1 minute later and if still down, send an alert? Or can I set it so it needs 2 downtimes in a row before alerting so I would find out 10 minutes in but at least it would be more accurate? Maybe it is a cloudflare thing, but I think all my false positives are when wordpress does updates. The page load after doing a plugin update must be too slow or something else shows up for a split second before the page loads and my text can't be matched as part of the downtime check.

Do any other analytics services track Windows 11? We want to add it, but our tracking code would need to request "getHighEntropyValues()" from the browser to get "platformVersion", which is the *only* place that Windows 11 reveals itself. https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/API/NavigatorUAData/getHighEntropyValues Two problems! 1) It uses a javascript "promise" to let the browser return it asynchronously. The idea is to allow for a permission check, so a user can confirm/deny. No browser does this *now*, but the groundwork is laid. We don't ever want to do something that makes a permission popup show for your visitors. 2) "HighEntropy" has extremely negative connotations relating to fingerprinting, which we don't want to be associated with for obvious reasons. Your ideas and feedback are very welcome! And again, I can't find any information to confirm that any other service tracks Windows 11, perhaps because of the same concerns I listed above. Any of you who use other analytics services and have seen Windows 11 shown in the reports, that would be great to know!

I currently run a self installed version of piwik, alongside clicky, and one of the great things i can do with that is make notes... so when i make a change to a website - i'll attach a note to a particular date, and that's viewable in the future. This is really helpful to see how a change made to a website has an effect on conversions / goals / bounce rate etc. Having this with clicky would be amazing... i wonder if anyone else has a use for it, i'm sure they would.

The dashboard is cut off when viewing on the iPhone. Right hand side is unbelievable - can't see the end of the graph. Don't want to use mobile view as it doesn't have the same benefits / graphs / total overview of all sites. Please fix this. More than 7 years ago there was a statistics service in Russia ( they were bought out by a big company and it had changed a lot ) Mainly they provided a heat maps and ability to record everything that user did on site. But I didn't use a lot of user record playback, however there was one of the greatest features that I can't find anywhere else anymore. ====== My suggestion ====== === 1 Add the ability to see the user REAL engagement on each page by providing a timeline (for example as a progress bar), that is colored with different colors which will represent: 1. When user was moving his mouse/scroling/typing (green) 2. When his browser window was inactive (did something else in other tab of his browser) - gray 4. Opened any element of the page, Javascript and so on. For me this was a great tool to see how active each user and his session was. I think this would me a great premium feature! Collapse browser version in Platforms/Web browsers

The list under Platforms / Web browsers is kind of annoyingly messy now because of all the different Chrome and Firefox versions. Could you please add a toggle switch or something to collapse the browser names into one? So that you only have Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Internet Explorer, etc? Would make the report a bit cleaner. I'd say it should be the default, with the option to expand to view per version. Another option could be to have "ever-green" browsers (like chrome and firefox) collapsed and more static ones likes IE and Safari expanded.

Most websites have their pages logically grouped into folders. Clicky does a great job of analyzing by page, however, the performance of all pages of a folder is very important. Folders contain pages that represent the product lines that we are selling, the projects that we have completed. For many business the performance of a folder is just as important if not more important than the performance of a page. I would like to see clicky allow me to get totals by folder. Such as the total of all pages in /blog/ or /running-shoes/ or /jewelry/. This type of data is needed for broad business decisions. It can be obtained from clicky by searching, downloading, and then working in excel, but it would be nice to have this information directly from clicky. Thanks

Spy Map Too Big For Laptop Use

I'm using a couple of laptops but mostly a Chromebook and the map takes up the whole screen. I used to be able to see the map and view everything else at the same time. Now I'm reduced to clicking "Hide Map" when I'm on my desktop which is a bummer. The high res map is great for desktop, but not practical on most laptops with small screens.

My company needs to collect visitor information on a per page basis instead of a site wide basis using the API so we can compose our own reporting for our blog authors on specific posts. It doesn't appear to me that the current API supports this. It appears Clicky does support viewing this information using a direct Clicky URL so internally Clicky must have the means to extract page specific visitor information. Please expand the API to support such.

Clicky JS code is not resilient enough for Adblock Plus

Dear Clicky developers, Lately, we received an email from a user saying that he can't open our subscription window. Turns out the problem was that he uses Adblock Plus in the strictest mode (all the 3 checkboxes checked in the First Run screen of Adblock Plus) and the external Clicky JS script was prevented to be loaded by Adblock Plus, yielding a JS error when the clicky variable was referenced, aborting execution which caused our popup not to appear. We use a lot of other similar services on our site, namely Charbeat, Hotjar, Mixpanel and Google Analytics and even though all of them were blocked by Adblock Plus, none of them caused any such errors. I haven't looked into the implementation of the above services but I guess that in their script tag they handle this situation gracefully (defining empty functions and such) and I believe you should do the same. I was looking for a solution to see all the conversions & general conversion ratio from all the ppc campaigns on all the sites - I'm sure I'm not the only one that runs multiple campaigns (adwords,facebook and so on) and... I was wondering if you could add another metric in the user homepage/global dashboard: goal conversion rate or "conversion rate" for short, as an average of all the conversion rates from all the sites monitored in clicky. This should be added to the Overview report in the top of the dashboard page and for each website, below visitors&actions. All the defined goals would be counted. Also, the numbers should be real not integers , rounded to two decimals as the conversion ratio is usually <1 thank you

Hi, I use GetResponse email marketing, which have their own open rate etc tracking system, but in addition to that I can add and track with Google Analytics, which I don`t use at all. This is what I found in GR help: "The GetResponse Google Analytics feature lets you track your newsletters inside your Google Analytics account. The GetResponse integration does this by adding certain parameters to the end of the links you use in your newsletters. Please make sure that the servers you link your URLs to have installed a Google Analytics script and also accept GET parameters."

Essentially fill the left and right side so that I can see the complete URL's for links accessed. As the site works currently everything is truncated making the PDF file I'm emailed useless as you cannot see what page was actually accessed.

Sometimes I am looking at stats like screen resolution for example and I can't exactly quickly figure out what is happening at a glance. If there was a way to display upon click the information at hand as a pie graph so that I could see what is taking up most of the pie and by what percentages I could then make specific decisions. I hope others see this as useful as I do. The move more and more by Clicky towards nice graphs and making actions important is nice for probably many users, but for me it's not. As a web site operator, I use Google Adsense a lot, and therefore for me it's important to know how many pageviews there were. With your latest update, I no longer see in my dashboard my current pageviews and the last 7 days. It's only available in graph form, totally useless to me. Already the fact that my Chrome extension from Clicky doesn't show pageview (visitors and action) pisses me off, but now you've removed an important part of my data. I don't want to dig deep to find it. Please bring it back

Clicky has a problem with "advertising"

Starting on July 3, I started to receive a few visitors attributed to the "Advertising" traffic source. Now that has grown to over 14,000 visitors per day. Before posting this question, I searched the forum and see lots of other people questioning the advertising traffic source. I do zero advertising. None. So, I can't understand how clicky can attribute 14,000 visitors per day to this traffic source. Something is wrong with clicky.

"We have integrated Google Webmaster Tools (GWT) keyword data into our reporting. This means that you, our members, can have efficient, streamlined access to all available keyword data." Hello... Currently, when clicking on "Spy" and then on an IP address, while also having date range with longer than 30 days will show this error: "This report (with filters applied) has a maximum range of 31 days. The date has been adjusted to 2014-01-13,2014-02-14. You can still view data prior to 31 days ago, you just can't view more than 31 days worth of data at one time." Would it be possible to have at least 60 days? Anything longer would be helpful. Thanks!

Disable dashboard fixed menu when scrolling

When looking at stats, the menu is stuck at the top in a fixed position when scrolling down. Most of the time it's fine, but I occasionally want to take a scrolling snapshot of a page using a Chrome or Firefox screen shot extension, but the fixed menu gets in the way. I'd prefer to disable it as I don't much use it anyway. If a setting can't be built into preferences, is there a "user script" or something that can be ran client-side to disable whatever javascript is kicking it into action? Thanks.

Briefer SMS message for site down

I have alerts set up for site down. When the alert goes out to SMS, it is the same content as the email alert, which results in four text messages due to the email heading and HTML markup in the message. When the site goes back up, I get five text messages (one email so long it ends up being five messages). An SMS-specific message of "Your endpoint is down" so it doesn't result in so many text messages would be nice. jd

Hi, in the Spy view I can see from which organic position the google-user came to my site. This Spy of course only shows the last few visitors. Would be great if this can also be shown in visitor's logs such as "visitors who landed on page-XYZ". In that way I can better analyze the effort I put into getting high search rankings. Thanks.

Response time tracking

Hi, I love the "uptime" feature for tracking any downtime. However, another feature I've had with other site monitors is a "response time" metric. This shows how long the page took to load, and stores it. Looking at reports, you can see if changes you made (or your hosting company made) have slowed the site load time. So it's more than just "Is the site up / down", but allows you to review "How fast" has my site been loading. Would be a very handy addition on the "Uptime" reporting area. -Jim

Hourly Bounce Rate and Time on Site

You have this feature for actions and visitors but not for time on site or bounce. These features would give webmasters who deal in high volume, a much better idea of how changes affect stats. Now they literally have to wait until the end of day and compare to stats from the prior day which could change by coincidence and not due to the change on the site. Hour by hour bounce and tos statistics would resolve this. We are very loyal to clicky but if we found a service that offered such a statistic we would most likely move, so dont let us do that!!

Dealing with [secure search]

The vast, vast majority of my Google search traffic is now "[secure search]". Therefore, I have to give up on the old way of looking at things - which keyphrases Google is sending traffic to - and focus on which PAGES they're sending it to. But something is not adding up, unless I'm missing something. Example: My top performing page used to get 20,000 visits for "key phrase". Now it only gets 2,000, but I have 80,000 "[secure search]", many of which probably used that keyphrase to get to that page. So I filter to see how many people came to that page via Google by using the "domain" filter and selecting "Google" and I get something like 2170. That can't be right. I'm still getting nearly as many Google searches per day as I ever did, so it's really not likely my top page has dropped that much and the others are making it up behind "secure search." How can I determine precisely how many people Google sent to a particular page? Also, same thing with Facebook - you can't generally see what FB status or page linked to you, but I would like to be sure that when Clicky tells me how MANY people it sent to a specific page, I know it's accurate. Am I missing something, or should this become a bug report?

Let's say you have a blog and you want to know how that blog is doing. Is it worth the time that you are putting into it? That could be assessed if we could type /blog/ (the folder name) into the "filter results" box of the "Content>Pages" report or the "filter results" box of the "Content>Entrance" report. The page that would be returned would have "THE BASICS" information that appears on my dashboard, but instead it would be a report for the "/blog/" folder. Lots of people have their site divided into folders for /blog/ or /store/ or /forum/ This type of report would let us know if the work we are putting into those pages is paying off. I really like being able to click on "Content" and see the pages of my site listed in order of their traffic. Something that would be just as valuable would be the ability to sort that list by the "percentage change" that is listed on the right. That would enable me to see what content is getting unusual attention today.

Ability to categorize sites

It would be nice if we could organize sites into categories. I have nearly 30 sites with Clicky at the moment and would love to be able to categorize them for better organization. If you have several sites in the same field or affiliate program, it'd be good to see how much traffic ALL of the sites in that industry received that day, week, month etc. Would make comparing the stats easier as well, instead of going through a list of 30, messing with all the tabs, searching for them in my list etc. Thanks

Option to ignore visits with header X-Purpose: preview

As explained in this article ( http://sunpig.com/martin/archives/2010/01/08/how-to-detect-a-page-request-from-safari-4s-top-sites-feature.html ), Safari's "Top Sites" feature tries to generate a live preview of a page (javascript and all) pretty frequently. Since it loads JavaScript, it will load Clicky's tracking and register as a visit, when it actually isn't. Safari sends the HTTP header "X-Purpose: preview" when it is updating the top sites preview. Can Clicky add an option to filter out these requests to avoid false visits in the statistics?

Get "Unique ID"

Hi! It would be very helpful do get the Clicky "Unique ID" already on site via js. Like in the new Google Universal Analytics. There you can call clientId=tracker.get('clientId'); to get a unique visitor id. Is something similar possible or planned for Clicky? In the next step i would appreciate to have a possibility to import (with php) a goal for this unique id.

Ahh. So on my site, Smashpipe.com, I have over 18 channels, and thus I manage 18 Clicky ids! Work's great! I'm wondering if I can have multiple Clicky ads on a page. How would I add a second tag to all my pages that's a new website id that would let me report on aggregate traffic stats in addition to the discrete channel stats with the other Clicky ID. Does that make sense and if so, is that possible? Thanks! John

Looking for list of top domain traffic sources, with percentages

I would love it if Clicky offered a report or graph that tells me my top traffic source domains, without breaking them into categories. For example, a simple list version would be something like this: Google: 30% Facebook: 22% SomeRandomSiteThatLinked: 15% Pinterest: 19% Other: 14% And I could check from day to day for changing trends. A graph showing the top 5 over the last 28 days would work wonderfully. Unless I'm missing it, there's no easy way to compile this info currently. AFAIK, you have to go to Traffic Sources, go into each category of traffic, and get the numbers from there... and then sometimes one source shows up in multiple places, so you have to add them together... it's time consuming to do on a daily basis. If anyone knows a simpler way, please let me know! In the meantime, I'm putting this out there as a feature request.

Due to our CMS being the POS it is, when I do a filter search for content containing a specific part of a URL I am presented with numerous (usually 20+) results. It would be nice if at the bottom (Or top) it automatically tallied up those numbers for me so I can see quickly how many visitors that area got without doing it manually. Unless there is a way to do this and I'm just not seeing it (Which is possible, we have no hot-water this morning, so no coffee!!!). Thanks

I've been testing BB10 through the simulator and the device comes up as an Unknown Mobile in the logs. Would be great if we could identify this as a Blackberry 10 device. A UID of a visit from the BB 10 simulator if you want to look at the request details: 841152172. Not sure if a physical BB 10 device is correctly identified or if it presents different user agents (only tested via the simulator). Cheers!

Close on-site analytics for a session

I suggested this when on-site analytics was first announced, but since it never happened I thought I'd suggest it again. I really love the on-site analytics. It's very cool to have the little widget in the lower right hand corner that shows the number of visitors on the site and page, but sometimes it can interfere with what I'm trying to do. As an example, I use Invision Power Board on my website and the CMS has moderation options in the lower right hand corner of the screen. So when I am moderating forum posts, articles, images, etc., I have to click the "x" in the widget for every single page load. It would be great to have, say, a double x (like one x overlaid by another) that when clicked closes the widget for a session instead of a page.

Show conversion totals as total and not average

Currently if you have multiple conversions the Totals row averages the conversion rates of the different goals and displays that as the total. Example: visitors: 100 Bought Red Widget: 5 (5%) Bought Blue Widget: 2 (2%) Bought Green Widget: 3 (3%) Totals: 10 (3.33%) It would be nice if the conversion total was the actual total (e.g. 10% in the example above).

Track Facebook referring pages

Hi guys, Something I've noticed for some time is that if a Facebook page links to my site, I have no idea which page exactly did so. All that shows up in Clicky is this: facebook.com/l.php Clearly that's some kind of redirector so it might be that Facebook intentionally stops these from being tracked. Can anything be done to make Clicky better at tracking these? It'd be really useful to know which page has linked to me sometimes. It's virtually impossible to work out otherwise, with Facebook being a closed garden and having no efficient internal mechanism for tracking the page in question down.

Hi, except heatmaps it would be very useful to track also visitors mouse movements. Right now we're using another commercial tool for that, but I think it would be great if this feature would be implemented in Clicky. You can still view data prior to 31 days ago, you just can't view more than 31 days worth of data at one time. 1) I don't understand why menu offer me "Last 60" and "Last 90" days when I can't display such data 2) Would be great if instead of "Last 60" / "Last 90" menu offer "0-31 days" / "31-62 days" etc. 3) And when red message box with error would contain also "Show next 30 days / Show previous 30 days". Uptime check false positives

I'm getting reports of downtime during approximately hour-long periods, but my stats show perfectly normal traffic during the same periods. I use a host that is famous for reporting downtime to us that we didn't even detect and then giving us small refunds and large apologies. So I'm pretty sure what I'm seeing with the uptime checker is false positives. This isn't really a complaint; I just thought I'd mention it so you can look into it if you want to improve the feature. Uptime feature

I'm testing the uptime feature with two of my sites. My feedback is that I'm getting too much E-mails "xxx is down". I guess that the reason is that I'm running the sites on Google App Engine where requests sometimes fail (or take long). If one single request fails, that's still ok (in my case). So my wish would be: only report a failure and send an e-mail, if subsequent requests fail. Best regards FFD

More conversion rate graphs

If you go to Goals, Click on any Goal and then view the conversion rate graphs that show your conversion rates over time, this is good start. I can demonstrate that this data is very noisy until you can filter by "Searches" or "Keywords" For example, if you get a ton of social media traffic for a period, or show up in the news, or image search, email, etc... for terms or events non-central to your main business, then the conversion rates appear to plummet. Of course, adding more things like Source, Engines, etc... could also be really useful.

Why not offer a feature that lets users contribute a nominal amount to a particular feature request, thereby prioritizing demand based on actual need. So, you could have a list of top 10 most request features, and let people donate towards it, refundable if the feature is not built within a given time period (e.g. 1 month) I would donate right away to a few features, like the last one I just entered, and the new one that I am about to do.

Clicky is the only analytics that Ive used (and I've used a lot) that groups these all into a single dropdown, which makes it extermely difficult and time consuming. E.g. I want to look at conversion rates over last 120 days (not 90 and 180). and then display be week, and display back to monthly, etc... Also, being able to do this beyond a year ago: Show search volume month by month over 2011, or over last two years, would be enormous.

So, I don't know if this is something that's available or not. I've looked around and haven't seen it. But I was wondering if there were a way to auto tag people who sign up through my email forms to clicky so I can track my email subscribers behavior on the site. I know there's a way to do this with commenters, but what about email subscribers? Again, I apologize if this has been covered already, and would love it if you could just point me in the proper direction if that's the case.

I love Clicky. Were on a pro service. We use it everyday and it has increased sales - no, serious it actually benefits us every day. We have clicky bigscreen on the wall monitor too.. We surprisingly depend on these statistics a great deal. Heatmaps is a brilliant feature. And it works very well.. however I think clicky should also allow video recording sessions now since most competitors do this and its sort of the ultimate analytic feature... is this a future feature? video recoding sessions like clicktale - hate their service, pricing and interface but the video recoding is good...
